Brits turn to pets for lockdown support – survey
UK owners have been leaning on their pets to cope with COVID-19 lockdowns and talking to them on subjects of all kinds, according to research by Purina.
A third (33%) of owners have spent time talking to their pets, with 73% saying they believe their pet understands them and 43% saying their animal companions have helped them cope.
Two in every five find talking to their pet relaxing, with 30% stating their pet has been “hugely important to their mental well-being” and 23% saying it has helped combat loneliness.
