For use in small rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, rats, hamsters, mice, gerbils, chinchillas and other small rodents up to 1250 g body weight, and birds less than 666 g body weight.

The active substance ivermectin is a substance known as an endectocide because it kills parasites that cause infestation inside the body (endoparasites) as well as those living outside the body, on the skin (ectoparasites). Ivermectin is used in many species for the control of mites, roundworms and lice.

Target species: Small rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, rats, hamsters, mice, gerbils, chinchillas and other small rodents up to 1250 g body weight, and birds less than 666g body weight.

Contraindications:

Do not use on animals other than those indicated. Serious reactions, including deaths, have been reported in dogs (especially Collies, Old English Sheepdogs and related breeds), tortoises and turtles treated with products containing the active substance.

This product is toxic to chelonians. Do not use in tortoises, turtles or related species.

Special warnings:

Do not overdose.

Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the product to animals

Wash hands with soap and water following treatment.

Adverse reactions:

Occasionally, central nervous system disorders, lethargy, inappetence, local irritation and/or hypersensitivity reactions may be observed. These signs may be more common in young animals. Should such a reaction occur, discontinue use and seek veterinary advice.

If you notice any serious effects or other effects not mentioned in this data sheet, please inform your veterinary surgeon.

Amounts to be administered and administration route

Topical insecticidal and acaricidal spot-on solution.

Each pipette contains 50 μg ivermectin. Each pipette contains approximately 15 drops. Each drop will deliver approximately 3.3 micrograms ivermectin.

Directions for Use:

Do not overdose. In order to apply a correct dosage it is essential to accurately weigh the animal. Your veterinary practice can help you to do this.

Avoid use in or around the eyes.

Holding the pipette firmly in one hand, twist off the cap.

Mammals: Using the dosage table, apply the correct number of drops or pipettes onto the skin on the back of the neck and down the spine.

Birds: Apply 1 drop (3.3 μg) per 15 g body weight under the feathers onto the skin of the back between the wings. For larger body weight birds apply 1 pipette per 222 g body weight.

For routine prevention of common ectoparasites this dose should be repeated monthly. For the treatment of an existing infestation, repeat doses are required two weeks and four weeks after the initial application.

Withdrawal period:

For pet animals only. Do not use on animals intended for human consumption. Do not eat eggs from treated birds.
